In March 2005, I visited Vietnam for the first time. My father grew up there, but this was the first time he returned to his homeland in 43 years, the first time since the war, communism, and since he was 18 year old kid dreaming of studying science in America. While we were there I took many random pictures of things like people in conical hats, working the fields with water buffalo, and carrying pigs in the back of their motorbikes. We also visited the graves of the ancestors from both sides of the family, met many new and old friends and relatives, ate lots of fruit, and visited many natural and historical sites.
You can also view my general collection of Photos, which contains more from Vietnam, mixed in with various others.
